✨Keeping it Real ✨

Updated: Sep 30, 2022

If you were to make assumptions about my life based on my LinkedIn page, you may think I had it good growing up. It must’ve been easy for me to get a 6-figure salary...

…but here’s the real story…

I lived in a women’s homeless shelter when I was a child (with my mom and my younger sister).

We lived there until there was an opening at an assisted apartment facility, which felt better than the homeless shelter, but it had rigorous restrictions including curfews and limited visitation.

Even though my mom worked full-time + weekends, we still had to live off food stamps.

While all my friends and classmates got to do summer camps, dance lessons, and piano lessons…any extracurricular activities that required money was NEVER an option.

Because my mom didn’t have the luxury of a flexible work schedule or a salary that allowed her to be at home more, at the age of 10, I became the default babysitter and caretaker for my 3 younger sisters.

Why am I sharing this?

Because I know what it’s like to not have money…

I know what it means not to have a home…

Not feel safe where you live…

Feeling guilty that mom would forfeit eating just so we could eat…

And feel less than…

I also know what it feels like to feel powerless, constrained and trapped…

YET feeling like you’re meant for SO MUCH MORE.

Have you ever felt like you weren’t earning the money that you need to support yourself and your loved ones?

If so…

This is the reason WHY I started my business.

I want to help women EARN MORE so they can have choices.

Money isn’t everything but it does provide options.

I want every woman to have the opportunity to get ahead in her life and in her career.

Money can impact your confidence, self-worth and HOW you invest in yourself and your family.

In honor of #InternationalWomensDay I wanted to share a little bit of my background story on WHY I’m so committed to helping women land the jobs they LOVE while Increasing their salary.
